Day 1: Ascent to Harkak Peak
Distance: 4 km
We begin our ascent from Ain Shirokh toward Harkak Peak in the Samhan Mountain Range. A moderate trail with steady elevation gain introduces the rugged beauty of the region.
Overnight: Camp at the summit of Harkak with breathtaking views under the stars

Day 2: Frankincense Groves & Nubian Ibex
Distance: 10 km
Continue along the summit of Jabal Samhan, trekking through groves of wild frankincense trees. With luck, you may spot the elusive Nubian ibex, native to this remote mountain range.
Overnight: Camp near the spring of Mashwi

Day 3: Descent into Wadi Ajhafoot
Distance: 15 km
Today we descend into Wadi Ajhafoot (Wadi Dahnat), a secluded valley rich in wildlife and rare flora. This part of the trail offers stunning views and peaceful solitude, far from the nearest settlement.

Day 4: Ascent to Mount Difoq
Distance: 10 km
We take on another full ascent – this time to Mount Difoq. The trail remains moderate, and the reward is spectacular views over the expansive valley below.
Overnight: Camp on the mountainside

Day 5: Highland Paths to Karshinot Spring
Distance: 15 km
Our journey continues across the mountain peaks running parallel to the valley. This section features eucalyptus groves and scenic highland paths.

Day 6: Rest & Recovery
Distance: 4 km
A lighter day of rest and recovery. We prepare for the final stretch by ascending part of the northern mountains. Time to recharge and reflect on the journey so far.

Day 7: Into Wadi Sanaq
Distance: 13 km
We hike through areas rich in biodiversity, reaching the upper entrance of Wadi Sanaq – a quiet and untouched gem known for its ecological richness.
Overnight: Camp at the entrance of the valley

Day 8: Valley Edge Exploration
Distance: 9 km
An easy and scenic walk along the edges of the valley and nearby mountains. A chance to take in the landscape's changing colors and geological formations.

Day 9: Blue Pools of Wadi Sanaq
Distance: 10 km
We continue deeper into Wadi Sanaq, setting up camp near a natural spring. This area is known for its vibrant blue pools and lush vegetation – a true oasis.

Day 10: Journey's End at the Estuary
Distance: 10 km
The final stretch of our journey leads us to the estuary at the mouth of Wadi Sanaq, where freshwater meets the Arabian Sea. A peaceful and extraordinary end to an unforgettable adventure.
Transfer: Return journey to Salalah

Our tours are challenging but not dangerous. All our guides are trained in emergency response and equipped with satellite phones for communication in remote areas. Safety briefings are conducted at the start of each tour, and our team is prepared for any situation that may arise.
No prior experience is necessary for most of our tours. Our guides will teach you everything you need to know along the way. For multi-day hiking tours and survival retreats, a reasonable level of physical fitness is recommended.
Our guides are trained for emergency situations and carry satellite phones for communication even in the most remote areas. We have established evacuation protocols and maintain contact with local emergency services. Your safety is our top priority.
Our hiking tours are rated medium difficulty and are suitable for anyone with a reasonable fitness level who enjoys walking. The 5-day hike covers 10-16 km per day, while the 10-day trail averages 10 km daily with one rest day. We take regular breaks at natural springs and adjust the pace to the group. No technical climbing experience is required.
On our hiking adventures, you'll experience authentic wilderness camping:
- Sleep under the stars at carefully selected campsites
- Unique overnight stays in natural caves (weather permitting)
- Comfortable camping gear is provided
- Campsites are chosen near natural springs for water and shade

We provide a detailed packing list upon booking. Generally, you should bring:
- Comfortable, breathable clothing (long sleeves recommended for sun protection)
- Sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots
- Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
- Personal medications
- Camera for memories
For overnight tours and retreats, camping gear and traditional Bedouin clothing are provided.
During our season (December-February), daytime temperatures are pleasant at 20-30°C. Nights can get cool, dropping to 10-15°C in the desert. We provide warm blankets and sleeping gear for overnight experiences. We recommend bringing a light jacket or fleece for evenings. The cool nights under the stars are actually one of the most magical parts of the desert experience.
Our main season runs from December to February when temperatures are ideal for desert adventures (20-30°C during the day, cooler at night). Tours are not available from March to November due to extreme heat. We recommend booking 3 months in advance, though last-minute bookings may be possible if spaces are available.
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- 60+ days before departure: 30% cancellation fee
- 30-59 days before departure: 70% cancellation fee
- Less than 30 days: No refund
Full payment (100%) is required at the time of booking. We recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.
