Oman covers around 309,500 square kilometres at the south-eastern tip of the Arabian Peninsula. The geographical diversity is remarkable:

The largest continuous sand desert in the world extends into Oman. This is where we run our retreats: among dunes rising up to 300 metres high, in a silence you’ll struggle to find anywhere else on earth.
Hajar Mountains
In the north, mountains rise to over 3,000 metres. Jebel Shams, Oman’s highest peak, offers dramatic canyon landscapes and sweeping views.
Coastline
With more than 3,000 kilometres of coastline along the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman, the country opens to two seas. In the south lies Salalah – the starting point for our desert expeditions.

The best time for desert experiences is October to March, when pleasant daytime temperatures of 25–35°C prevail. Our main retreat season runs from December to February.

Oman grew wealthy by exporting frankincense to Egypt, Rome, and Greece. The historic trade route is now recognised as UNESCO World Heritage.

7th century
Oman was one of the first countries to voluntarily embrace Islam. The Ibadi school of Islamic thought still shapes the country today.

The 3-day retreat is ideal for beginners, with overnight stays at our base camp and daily excursions into the desert.
The 5-day expedition is more intensive:

Salalah International Airport (SLL) is well connected with direct flights from major Gulf cities including Dubai, Muscat, and Doha. We offer airport pick-up and drop-off as part of our multi-day tours, or this can be arranged separately for day tours.
